OOOOOooooooops !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooooops, these pic were supposed to go with the last blog....
Pics of my trip to Mt. No Mas...........

MT NO MAS

Welcome all to Mt. No Mas..... Run by Pug-Nose Pete, the Slowest Slugger of the West.... Well, while Jan and Kelly do the "wedding thing", I decided to take a short trip to Mt. No Mas for some exciting downhill moguling.... Met lots of nice new friends on the slopes... Did quite a few runs on the Black Double Diamond runs like Killer from Kalamazoo, Rattlesnake Bite, Death by Downhill and the most treacherous slope of all Mt. No Mas: the Double White Towel.... Well, I'm back to Florida and some sunshine...

IRISH Eyes May be Smiling

For all of you Irish celebrants out there in BLOG world...we did you proud!

Kelly and I traveled near and wide through Destin and surrounding areas donning our green from head to toe!  Jim joined us for PM festivities...with adornment..at Baytowne.  Bag piping, celtic singing, and green-beer drinking was on the agenda there.  We pavement-pounded to see all the Spring Breakers (fams and collegiates) and checked their colors...and saw their merriment in their hands and fists!  A calm but fun night...never did see any leprechauns...but I am sure somewhere the mischief was caused!

We Turned the Page....

March 15, 2008...the vivid  AL memories of rain, lightning, cold...and fire.   One year ago, the Ides, changed our lives forever.  All the tangibles we counted among "treasured belongings" and "countless memories"...lost forever!  All earthly possession...ashes!

But...time on earth moves on..and so did we.

March 15, 2009...drizzling rain, FL, tangible humidity...and smiles.  The days may have numbered only 352, but in that time we changed the Wallace landscape completely...and are loving it.  The "Gadsden Goddesses Three" recalled the year's passing and friendship-making with a tasty treat of fruit from Mickey's Clubhouse.  Wow...thoughtfulness and taste...what more could we ask for!  Today, we are awaiting redecorating of our "new home" (which we'll be in by July, fingers crossed!), celebrating life and living it (with travels, scuba courses, sailing, cruises, WDW, and "Being Together" 24/7 for the most part), planning an August wedding (with Kelly here for this week), cheering Robyn's run (over the miles in CO on a healing leg...but always close in thought), recalling 3/15/08 lovingly and blessedly with Barbara and Abby (who safely left our Gadsden home amid fire and chaos with us), and with Kimberly and fam (as they too try to relocate to new surroundings, by choice, in their most fair St. Louis).  Yes, it has been only 12 months...but we are moving on and creating new memories and building new treasures in people and places.

To all of you who recall with us, who have shared a similar experience, or, God forbid, who may....LIFE is treasured and really all we need to have and hold.  God grants us the passion to live this one life we are given, though He may abruptly change its earthly direction...He always gives us the opportunity to redirect and renew..we have only to turn our heads...and be willing to "turn the page"....

warning...Warning...WARNING...

warning.....Warning.....WARNING....  The following is NOT for the "faint-of-heart".
We fought off white Rhinos.....pacing Bengal tigers....and made the famous ascent of non other than Mount Everest....  Jan and I have returned after a near miss with the Yeti of reknown infamy...  We stared the beast in the eye, and he blinked..............
Tomorrow we are on to conquer Capt. Hook and Smee and maybe give that Wild Toad a black and blue eye or two...  Then it is on to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party...
Well, if we survive the "Magic Kingdom" there will be additional posts....
The WWs..........

The Mouse Hole

Well, it has been traumatic...Sunday we had to "rise and shine" at 4AM to commit to a 5AM departure...6 hours of tedious, windy driving (I know all are sympathetic to our plight) to forge our way into The Mouse Hole in Orlando...did I mean Disney World!!  Greeted with leis we thought we were Hawaiian-bound..close enough into the land of Polynesian (hotel that is)!  We're all smiles...but then the adventure began!  Though Mickey greeted us with open arms (and a magnificent showing of breakfast foods!)...we had to suffer through the German polka over brats and German potato salad one afternoon...then practicing our French with "Les Chefs of France" one evening...and then we were scudded off to a Kilimanjaro safari and all but attacked by a charging rhino!  (That safari vehicle will never be the same!)  And that has only been two days of our adventure.  Tonight, California Grill...tomorrow.."The Kingdom" awaits and our Mouse Hole saga continues...
